PRIVACY
What happens to your information when you use Tér, written the way we would explain it to you in person. Where the law needs a specific word, we use it and say what it means.
01 THE SHORT VERSION
We collect what we need to run Tér and to stay in touch with you. Nothing for advertising, nothing to sell.
02 WHO WE ARE
Tér is made by Ember Associates Vietnam Company Limited, 67 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In legal terms we are the controller of your data: we decide what happens to it, and we are responsible for it.
Privacy questions are answered by the founder, Zsolt Tököli, personally: privacy@ter.app.
03 WHAT WE COLLECT
Your name, email address, company and role, whether you would like mobile access, and the fact that you agreed to this notice. That is everything the form asks for.
The website uses no tracking cookies and no advertising trackers. It does load its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers when a page opens.
04 A NOTE ON WHAT YOU TELL TÉR
People bring real things to Tér: pressure at work, relationships, doubts, sometimes health. Some of this is what the law calls special category data, for example information about your physical or mental health.
You decide what to share. Tér is useful without any of it. If you do share something like this, we process it only because you chose to share it with us for this purpose, and we protect it the same way as everything else.
05 WHAT WE USE IT FOR
The legal basis is in brackets, for those who want it.
We never use your data for advertising, never sell it, and never build profiles of you for anyone else.
06 WHO ELSE TOUCHES IT
A small number of companies help us run Tér. They process data on our behalf, under contract, and only for this.
Some of these are outside the European Union. Where that is the case, the transfer relies on safeguards the EU recognises, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
07 WHO CAN READ YOUR CONVERSATIONS
Nobody at Tér reads your conversations unless you ask us to.
That includes the founder, and the people who may introduce Tér to your organisation or run a workshop with you. Meeting us in person does not give anyone a window into what you tell Tér.
Under every answer Tér gives, there is an option to ask a human coach to review it. We built this in because professional reliability matters to us: if an answer feels off, you can have an experienced coach look at it. When you use it, an experienced coach from our team sees that answer and the five exchanges before it, so that it can be judged in context. Nothing else from your conversations is shared, and nothing at all unless you ask.
One person can technically access the database: a back-end engineer in our development team in Vietnam, because someone has to be able to fix things when they break. That access is protected by multi-factor authentication, access to our cloud infrastructure is logged, and it is used for maintenance, not for reading what people wrote.
We would rather tell you this plainly than promise something absolute that isn't quite true.
08 HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
09 YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask us, at any time, to show you what we hold about you, to give you a copy in a portable format, to correct it, or to delete it. You can withdraw your consent whenever you like; this doesn't undo what happened before, but it stops what happens next. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interest, or ask us to restrict it.
One email to privacy@ter.app is enough. The law gives us a month to answer. We will usually answer within days.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work. In Hungary, that is NAIH, the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság.
10 THE AI PART
Tér is an AI. Every response is generated by a language model, not written by a person, and it can be wrong. It is a thinking partner. It is not therapy, not medical, legal or financial advice, and not a service for emergencies. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services.
Tér is for adults. Please don't use it if you are under 18.
11 CHANGES AND CONTACT
If we change this notice in a way that matters to you, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
